9GAG is great for memes and annoying about everything around them. 9witz fixes the parts that bug you every day. Every fix has its own switch in the popup.
Every video and GIF gets a proper control bar: play, seek, volume, playback speed. And a download button that saves the clip under the post's title, not as aYx8Wq2_460sv.mp4.
Saved a meme and nothing can open it? The Open JPG button under every image opens it as a plain JPG in a new tab, ready to save and send.
Hover over a commenter's tiny avatar and see it big. Finally find out whether that's a cat, a car or a potato.
The ad sidebar and in-feed ad slots disappear, so the memes get the room. It's a cosmetic cleanup, not a full ad blocker.
Rank and exact account age next to every username, in comments, under posts and on profiles.

02 Chain of command
Every username gets a rank based on how long the account has existed. Everyone starts as an Officer Cadet. 70 days make you a 2nd Lieutenant, sixteen years of reposts make you an Emperor. Up to Field Marshal it's the legendary 9GAG rank infographic; the ranks above are ours.

9GAG already sends the join date of every poster and commenter to your browser, tucked into the data behind the page. 9witz simply reads it there. Nothing is sent anywhere, and no extra requests go to 9GAG for it.
Only if a badge is still empty after two seconds on screen does 9witz open that one profile in the background, the same page you'd see by clicking the name.
The list of usernames and join dates stays in your browser's extension storage. Uninstall 9witz and it's gone.
04 Supply line
9witz is a one-person side project. No ads, no premium tier, no data to sell. If it made your scrolling better, a coffee on Ko-fi keeps it going.

Wherever you choose: your browser opens its normal save dialog, with the post's title already filled in as the file name.
As accurate as 9GAG itself: the rank comes from the account creation date 9GAG provides. It tells you how long an account has existed, not how much its owner posts or how funny they are.
9witz hasn't seen that user's data yet. Usually it arrives with the next batch of comments; if not, the profile is fetched after two seconds.
Chrome, Edge, Brave, Opera and Vivaldi through the Chrome Web Store, plus Firefox on desktop (140 or newer) and Android (142 or newer). Safari isn't supported, and neither is the 9GAG app.
Every feature, including the donation reminders, has its own switch in the 9witz popup. Changes apply instantly in all open 9GAG tabs.
